Mindfulness is a holistic practice to centre yourself in your body and mind. Through it, you focus entirely on being in the present space and time. Using your senses, you explore both the world around you and the thoughts and feelings within you to attune your awareness of yourself in a complete but nonjudgmental way. Cultivating mindfulness can reduce the stress of a tense moment and tone down overwhelming emotions to a more manageable state, as well as help with anxiety and depression.
